Iron Care
- Let your iron air dry to cool. Give it plenty of time to cool and don’t be impatient.
- If starch sticks to the soleplate, wait for the iron to cool completely, then apply a mixture of one part baking soda to one part water.
- Leave for 15 minutes, then work off with a moist cloth. Alternatively use a proprietary soleplate cleaner. Mineral deposits develop with time inside the iron’s water tank. To remove them, pour some white vinegar inside and allow the iron to steam for five minutes, but check the manufacture’s instructions first. Iron a clean cloth to bring out any residues. Let the iron cool, then rinse the tank with cold water.
- Always empty out water after each use.
- Most manufactures claim you can use tap water in your iron but it will speed up the build up of limescale. prevent this by using distilled water.
- Clean any anti-scale devices as recommended by the manufacturer.
